The 6yr old, again.
9yr old: I don’t get tired. I could sleep four hours and be ready to run around as soon as I wake up.
Me: Really, not me. I wish I could do that. It takes me forever to wake-up. I think I could sleep all day.
6yr old: Your just like the whitetip reef shark.
Me: Excuse me?
6yr old: The whitetip reef shark, it sleeps all day long.
Me: Huh.
I looked it up and he is right. The whitetip reef shark doesn’t need to move to breathe like most sharks. It can pump water over its gills to obtain oxygen. So it sleeps all day.
I wonder if this marine thing with my six year old is getting out of hand. Should I put a stop to this? Soon there won’t be a single conversation void of a sea life reference.
